Chicago Campsite Engagement Session

I loved this super personal engagement session I captured of my couple! They wanted to do something a little more personal that was meaningful to them.  We went out to the campsite in Zion, IL (Illinois Beach State Park) which happened to be where Chris had proposed. 

I LOVE capturing engagement sessions at locations that have special meaning to you, your favorite bar, the restaurant you had your first date at, etc.

So I met them out at their campsite, about an hour or so out of Chicago, where they had been camping all weekend. They were even staying at the exact campsite number (#376) where Chris had gotten down on one knee.  Talk about cute and romantic!!

We started the morning walking down to the beach, which was beautiful and fogged over, even with sunlight shining through.

Chris & Erin showed me an abandoned concession stand they thought was cool, and I was in 100% agreement! I had them stand in front of it like they owned the place.  We explored some trails around the campgrounds and got eaten up by mosquitos and finally headed back to their campsite.  Before I left for the day we had to get some photos in their tent & hammock, and those final shots just might be my very favorite photos from their session!
