Kat and Dwayne Engagement Session
The first question I always get when I post one of these photos is “How did you get The Bean without tons of people around it?!” Well… I didn’t just get lucky, we woke up at 5 AM and headed down to Millennium Park to get there right as they opened at 6 AM! I was SO stoked that Kat and Dwayne were up for it; it is totally worth getting up in the middle of the night for photos like this!! They can see The Bean from their apartment and living right by Millennium Park, it was a perfect location for them to showcase their relationship! Living in Chicago you really don’t get the chance to see these tourist spots without throngs of people at them, so I highly recommend that everyone get up super early in the morning at least once to witness The Bean in all its glory without the crowds!
After The Bean (also known as Cloud Gate) we walked down to the lake and back up through the Lurie Gardens. The sun was coming up quick and it was getting HOT! (That’s just another reason to do a sunrise session, it is still cool, unlike many sunset sessions!)
Kat and Dwayne brought their favorite bottle of wine and a variety of beautiful flowers for different locations, to really give the photos a romantic vibe and highlight their relationship! It is so fun to bring props to a session!
I absolutely love shooting in Millennium Park and these are only three or four of so many amazing spots to shoot in the park. You should definitely consider this location when thinking about where to plan your engagement shoot!!
