Bri and Luke Wedding
Bri and Luke are living in Hawaii, but since most of their family live in Chicago, they thought it would be a perfect place to get married! I’m not sure how they managed, but somehow Bri and Luke planned an absolutely gorgeous wedding day from all the way across the country! So seriously, some huge kudos to them for that!!
You may notice two photos in the blog post that show a hand gesture. If you’re not familiar with it, it is the shaka sign, aka the “hang loose” sign and it is a gesture of friendship or friendly intent (thank you google for my fact checking!) associated with Hawaiian culture.
I started the day with the ladies as they got ready at Acme hotel in their bridal suite and I have to say it is one of my favorites in the city. Lots of space, velvet couches, photo-worthy bookshelves, a personal bar, and my favorite feature, TONS of windows providing beautiful natural lighting!
I just had to mention a little something about this hotel because the bridal suite is one of my favorites in the city and is perfect for a huge group!
The rest of the day was a blast! We went to a couple of different locations in Chicago, ending up at their amazing reception venue, Ravenswood Event Center. Filled with neon signs, natural light, and tons of open space, it is the perfect location for a big wedding and a dream venue for a photographer! We finished the night with a few night shots around the venue, including getting into one of the old cars on display!
Shot as lead for Cage and Aquarium.
