ANNA AND MIKE ENGAGEMENT SESSION
Omg, Anna and Mike’s engagement session was one of those Midwest-you-can’t- predict- the- weather days! We started at one of Anna’s favorite locations, the Honeycomb. The wildflowers and weeds were so beautiful, tangled and overgrown, and the city was visible through the clouds. We explored the surrounding area and finally headed to the Honeycomb. Throughout the session, it slowly and steadily grew colder and cloudier, and I checked the weather on my phone. Suddenly, although we had started our session with a 0% chance of rain, it was clear that rain was coming, and soon! We jumped in an uber and headed to their second location, downtown by the riverwalk. They needed to change clothes, so we ran into a hotel restroom, as it was POURING. Not sure if the cloudburst would pass, I had them change clothes anyway and by the time they finished, the rain was gone!
We headed out for the second -half of the session with wet streets that brought a fresh, moody vibe; totally different from the sunny, green first- half of the session. I loved that we got the two totally different moods in one short block of time..
I am so hyped for their wedding this year at the Kimpton Hotel Palomar Chicago!!
