Kelsey and Blake Engagement Session
Kelsey and Blake recently moved to Chicago, so when it came to engagement session locations, they weren’t super attached to any particular city views. We decided to do one of my favorite things and choose a location that held a special meaning to them and their relationship! So we decided to start the engagement session off at a food hall they had frequented since moving to Chicago!! And can I just say— this food hall was perfect! The indoor area was gorgeous, it wasn’t too busy, and to top it off, they had a perfect little patio for photos!
After a drink, we walked around the area a bit and then headed over to our second location, the West Loop murals!! I love shooting around the murals, not just for the cool murals themselves, but they are in such close, walking-distance proximity to so many other cool, funky spots!
We did some shots by the murals and around the new City Hall venue (yes, they host weddings and I am dying to shoot there!!), and headed over to the edge of the city to see the sunset.
Engagement sessions like this are so much fun; to just cut loose from the usual spots and just explore a location in depth together. Who said we can’t have adventure sessions right in the city?! Thank you to Kelsey and Blake for all the great ideas and for being down for some walking and exploring! I am beyond excited to document your wedding day!!
