Rainy Firehouse Chicago Wedding Photography

Chris and Erin

Chris and Erin’s wedding day started with a 0% chance of rain and plans for an outdoor ceremony.  Just as I was pulling up to the venue in my car, it started to rain, literally out of nowhere! I ran into the venue with my photo gear and started shooting.  While I was photographing the girls getting ready, and my second shooter was with the guys, the Firehouse team quickly switched the ceremony from outdoors to indoors, putting up a tent so the outdoors could still be used for cocktail hour, all in the pouring rain!  Did I mention their day had literally a zero percent chance of rain?!

They magically moved the ceremony indoors in what felt like a matter of minutes and it was so.darn.beautiful!  During the ceremony the rain stopped in the nick of time, allowing us to go outside for family photos, bridal party photos, and portraits of the two of them, all while Firehouse was flipping the room for the reception!

I fell in love with all the bouquets from their wedding, and all the little extra touches of flowers they added to their ceremony and reception spaces.  It really was such a beautiful day, and even the rain cooperated and stopped just in time!! Congratulations Chris and Erin, it was a blast getting to document your celebration!
