I’m ready to book! How do we reserve our date?
I always like to make sure that I have a connection with all of my couples. First off, schedule a phone call so that we can to get to know each other a bit and make sure we are a good fit. While style is important, personality is crucial when picking the right photographer for you!
I require 50% of your package as a retainer in order to reserve your day, as well as a contract signed by both parties. Your date is not secured until these tasks are complete. I am able to hold your date for one week after your initial inquiry in order to allow time to formalize a contract.
How many images will we receive?
The number of images you receive always depends on each individual couple, the day’s schedule, your personal preference, and time available. I deliver 100+ images per hour.
How do we Receive our wedding photos?
The photographs will be available in a private online gallery ready for high resolution download for one year after you receive your edits!
Do you require an engagement session?
All of my packages come with a complimentary engagement session! I have learned over the years that it is a great way to get to know my couples and get them comfortable in front of my camera, which is SO important on your wedding day! It offers us a chance to develop a fun working relationship and learn about each others’ styles! While it isn’t required, it is included in all packages!
How do you describe your shooting style?
My shooting style is documentary based, capturing all the special moments and fresh candids but including a mix of directed photos when working with your bridal party and family! When it comes to the two of you, I work my posing magic to put you into poses that feel real and authentic and have energy and movement, while finding the best light to shoot you in. My style is the opposite of traditional and stuffy, instead I encourage lots of movement, emotion, funny faces, and laughing!
Okay, how about your editing style?
My editing style is very colorful, bold and true-to-life, with a touch of moody! I’m committed to make images that are realist and beautiful and that capture the ambiance of the day.
How long does it take to edit and receive the full gallery?
My contract states that the full wedding gallery is deliver 6-8 weeks from the wedding date. Usually in slower seasons our turnaround time is between 3-4 weeks and in busy seasons 6-8 weeks. With your package you always receive a sneak peek of 30+ images within one week from your wedding day (usually sooner!) to share right away!
Do you offer printing? Do you offer albums?
Yes! I have printing available directly on your private online gallery from a professional printing shop I have been using since I started photography, local to Minnesota where I am from!
Albums are also available on the online gallery and if interested I am happy to talk more about the prices & design. I LOVE being able to design albums via my online gallery and always welcome your input and ideas!
Do you travel?
Oh my gosh, YES! I love traveling and photographing destination weddings. When I’m not busy with photography, travel is a huge passion of mine. Of course every destination wedding is different, based on location and potential expenses. I do my own airfare/hotel bookings and give you a base price when booking, so that you are aware of all costs upfront, with no surprises.
What kind of equipment do you use? Do you have back ups?
I use Canon equipment and my second shooters always shoot with Nikon or Canon. We have lighting equipment and off-camera flash to be prepared for all kinds of lighting situation (meaning: we got you in that dark reception room!) We always bring backup cameras, lenses, memory cards, and batteries with us when shooting a wedding as well as having the files writing on two different memory cards instantly.
