Downtown Detroit Engagement Session

I was so excited to shoot Steven and Emily’s session, because they brought me up to Detroit for the first time!!!  I love shooting in new places and I was extra excited about a Detroit engagement session.  Downtown Detroit is such a beautiful city and  there are so many cool places to photograph.  I did so much research ahead of time to scope out some truly amazing places to shoot, and we just happened to get a perfect weather day!!

We started their Detroit engagement session walking around downtown, and then headed to the belt area.  I had heard about this amazing parking ramp view, so after some shots with the murals around the belt, we drove up to the top floor. Wow,  people were not kidding, the view was AMAAZZIING!! 

Finally,  we headed to Belle Isle, which is where Emily and Steven had their first date.  It was so sweet and gorgeous and perfect.  Plus, it was as close as I’ve ever been to Canada.  I was obsessed with all of Emily’s outfits and seriously need her fashion sense in my life.  They wanted this session to really show off their fun and goofy personalities—check out the photos to see!

Emily and Steven were just the best, and after their session we went out to dinner together and drank cocktails and ate pizza and pasta; talk about good times! So excited to blog their 2020 wedding soon (ummm already shot it, these blogs are LATE… OOPS! Catching up on the blog here!)
