Let’s just say AJ and Zach were troopers and I have no idea how they could look so good in 90+ degree heat—was SO hot and sunny, in the middle of a field—and they seriously look perfect and without a care in the world but each other!Read More
Star Wars was the overarching theme of Kayla and Tyler’s wedding day, as they got married on May 4th, 2019 (may the fourth be with you ;) ).
After we spent some time dancing in the streets downtown, we headed up to Lincoln Park and went to the Riverwalk of the Lincoln Park Zoo!Read More
We headed back to Stan Mansion where it had been completely transformed into a beautiful ceremony and reception space! The white tulips and the crystal table centerpieces were so romantic and elegant!Read More
After that we headed downtown and did some photos in downtown Milwaukee. I loved all the vibes Milwaukee had and will have to come back for more shoots (and hopefully some weddings!) in the near future! Maybe it is just me, but the photos we took toward the end of the shoot right in the middle of the street are my favorites, and kinda remind me of a mini NYC!Read More
For Kristen and Mike's engagement session we met at their home.Read More

I love getting to shoot engagement sessions with my couples because it is really the first time I really get to know them!! As this was the first time Crystal and Joe met me in person, we had tons to talk about! I was so excited that they were down to lay on the floor and dance around in the open spaces. It let me know how much fun their wedding is going to be!Read More
I just wanted to make a little blog post to show the results of the contest. Along with all my wedding work, I also submitted some personal and branding projects, which you can see throughout the post. Hope you enjoy!!Read More
Tatom and Nick picked some of the absolute coolest locations for their engagement shoot! They were real troopers too, because it was literally 90+ degrees and they were both inside a greenhouse (which was even more hot and humid) and outside in the heat, lovin’ on each other.Read More
Maddie and Neal found me through a family friend, and I was so excited to get to document their wedding day back home in Minnesota. I flew out for 48 hours for their engagement shoot and we had a blast exploring the Stone Arch Bridge and dancing in the streets to no music.Read More
Jacquie and Anthony are getting married on the east coast, but wanted to do some photos in their home city so they could document their love of each other & the city they live in, Chicago! They already knew what they wanted for their photos, something around the Wicker Park neighborhood including the 606. One of my favorite cafes to meet clients at, Ipsento 606 is also an amazing location for photos, sandwiched right between Wicker Park & Bucktown. The outside of the cafe is covered in a super awesome mural and there is a sweet path in the little dog park that leads right up to the 606. We even got the blue line in the background!
We went to a couple of different locations in Chicago, ending up at their amazing reception venue, Ravenswood Event Center. Filled with neon signs, natural light, and tons of open space, it is the perfect location for a big wedding and a dream venue for a photographer! We finished the night with a few night shots around the venue, including getting into one of the old cars on display!Read More
I came over to document them in their new space & new step in their relationship. I’m thrilled excited that I’ll get to see Tayler and Adam take more new steps in their relationship, as next week I head back to Minnesota to photograph their engagement session and later this summer, their wedding day! Congrats again Tayler & Adam and see you soon
Also have I mentioned how much I love in-home sessions? They are so cozy and natural and totally my favorite!
We spent hours roaming around Morton Arboretum. I showed them all my favorite spots. We even made friends with an old man who was nice enough to lend us his bug spray (there may or may not be a few mosquito bites edited out of this session)!Read More
For Chris and Erin’s engagement session, they wanted to do something a little more personal, something that really felt like them. We went out to the campsite in Zion, IL (Illinois Beach State Park) which happened to be where Chris had proposed.Read More
Andrew and Lindsey got married at the beautiful Fisherman’s Inn in Elburn, IL. It was such a gorgeously manicured venue, perfect for these two love birds. There was a Midwest heat wave leading up to their wedding day, you know, that middle -of -July humid kind of heat. As I was driving up to the venue, the forecast was calling for rain all day, but it hadn’t started by the time I arrived (over an hour drive from Chicago!)Read More
Meet Mary and Nick! They recently moved to Chicago for work & school and wanted to send out some holiday cards as an announcement to the whole family that they’d moved. They thought it was a great chance to get some cool photos in their new city as well!Read More
