Love in Los Angeles: Scenic Spots for a Beverly Hills Engagement Session
When I first started chatting with Allie and Jack about their Beverly Hills engagement session, I could sense their excitement. However, like many couples, they had a whirlwind of ideas needing a solid plan. They bounced between capturing moments at a local bar, soaking in Malibu’s breathtaking views, cruising in a vintage car, or strolling through their charming neighborhood. There were so many possibilities, and each one painted a beautiful picture of their love story. Ultimately, we decided to opt for my extended engagement session package to cover a few of their brilliant ideas, with the focus centering around a bar setting.
Bars and restaurants can be tricky for photo sessions, especially on weekends when they’re bustling with patrons. If you ever consider a bar for your engagement photos, aim for Monday through Thursday. However, Allie and Jack’s busy schedules left us with only weekend options. Luckily, Jack’s connections came to the rescue! Jack, who owns the fabulous Bravo Toast (seriously, you need to check it out), called in a favor from a fellow restaurant owner. Voilà! Our bar was booked.
One of my top recommendations for couples looking to do something unique for their engagement session is to leverage your connections! Do you know someone who manages a bar, owns an amazing house, has a private beachfront, or drives a vintage car? Use those connections to your advantage! People love to support love and help you celebrate such an extraordinary time in your life.
We kicked off the session at the bar, where Allie dazzled us all in the most gorgeous dress ever. After sipping on their favorite negronis and soaking in the ambiance, we headed to Beverly Hills for a stroll around their neighborhood. Capturing candid moments in the places they call home added such a personal touch to the photos. We even paused for a bite at their local pizza spot, which was picture-perfect!
As the day drew to a close, we drove up the hill to catch the sunset, which offered breathtaking views over Beverly Hills. The golden hues of the setting sun cast a gorgeous glow over the city, creating the most romantic setting to end our session.
Planning an engagement session doesn’t always require an epic, jaw-dropping location. Sometimes, the familiarity and authenticity of your neighborhood can be just as captivating. Jack and Allie’s session was a beautiful blend of glamor, comfort, and genuine moments.
With their wedding at Cielo Farms in September 2024, I am beyond excited to continue capturing Jack and Allie’s beautiful journey. Their engagement session was a testament to how special and meaningful familiar places can be. I can’t wait to see what magic we create on their big day! Congratulations, Jack and Allie! Here’s to more memories, more laughter, and a beautiful journey ahead.
