Summer Engagement Photos at Lincoln Park. When I first met Claire and Dave I was so incredibly excited! We talked on Zoom about their wedding plans and I knew that we were going to be a good fit. They seemed like the absolute coolest couple! I even noticed they have a love for plants which if you know me, you know that I LOVE all things plants. They’re even getting married at Lacuna Lofts, a wedding venue I love!! I knew that I would be just as excited for their engagement session as I am their wedding and wow… did they get the PERFECT day.

Summer Engagement Photos at Lincoln Park

We started of their engagement photos Lincoln Park here in Chicago. On this day we had some beautiful lighting and it was prime wildflower season. We got to have some incredibly epic shots with all of the greenery and flowers. Writing this in the winter really makes me miss those warm sunny days and I can’t wait to have that again! Next, we made our way over to the Honeycomb. I actually think I was able to get one of my favorite shots I have ever gotten at Lincoln Park. Since it was so empty we were able to get this incredibly epic shot of these two in the Honeycomb (pictured below). I am absolutely OBSESSED with how it came out.

North Ave Beach

After finishing up at Lincoln Park, we made our way to North Ave Beach! On the day of their engagement photos it got crazy windy and was super busy. By looking at the photos however, you wouldn’t know *wink wink*. Despite the wild wind, we still were able to get some amazing photos. As many of you may know, I love going to North Ave Beach for engagement sessions. Of course because of the beautiful skyline views and how blue the water can be. For optimal photos, I do recommend going during the Spring or Fall time though. This is because in the summer, the area can get very crowded with volleyball season, so to avoid this I recommend going during the off season. We even got a peak of sunset towards the end, so it was the perfect way to end the day.

Claire and Dave’s engagement session was beyond magical. It was such a blast running around some of my favorite spots here in Chicago and getting to know them more. I am so happy with how these turned out, and can’t wait for their wedding in 2022!
