Studio Engagement Pictures in Chicago – Chicago Engagement Photographer. Missy and I have been talking on Instagram for a while so once she got engaged I was so excited! I wanted to get her and her fiancee, Mike, in my rental studio for a shoot. It seriously was the best time and they really looked like models.

Loft 505 Chicago Studio

The studio that we used to shoot is Loft 505, here in Chicago! For their engagement session they did two outfit changes. The first outfit set consisted of something a bit more casual. Missy was able to put her hair up for some of the shots too and I was basically obsessed. We played around with different posing and using the beautiful natural light that comes in. Maybe it’s just a studio thing, but I really did feel like this first part of the shoot felt like a Gap add but no shame in that since the photos turned out amazing.

Then Missy and Mike changed into their second outfits for their engagement photos. It was a bit more dressed up and really radiated those boho vibes. We also caught some amazing shots in front of my rollout wall. The roll out wall just made these engagement photos all the more fun and different.

One thing I love about taking photos in my studio is the fact that it can be more unique than traditional engagement photos. Since we’re surrounded by such beautiful Chicago scenery, there is no doubt as to why so many couples choose to have epic shots around the city. However, for those who are looking for something much more laid-back and casual, studio shoots are where its at! Sometimes couples don’t feel comfortable going out and shooting out in public, so opting for a studio engagement session is the perfect option!

Overall, this engagement session was a major hit! I got to spend time with an amazing couple, chat it up, have some amazing laughs and get some amazing engagement photos in the mix.
