Morgan’s on Fulton Chicago Wedding

Morgan’s on Fulton Chicago Wedding. Danielle and Sean actually got married in 2020 but had to opt in for something smaller due to the pandemic. Since restrictions here had lifted a bit, Danielle and Sean decided to have a bigger wedding with more friends and family here in Downtown Chicago in 2021.

Danielle started the morning off by getting ready with all of her girlfriends and Sean did the same with his friends. They did their first look right on the Riverwalk which I love. There’s nothing like beautiful greenery and beautiful Chicago scenery. We even grabbed some epic shots of the bridal party there as well! Danielle & Sean had the most beautiful sunny weather on their wedding day, and we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day.

Wedding Portraits at Museum Campus

After Danielle and Sean’s first look, we headed over to Museum Campus. We took some photos with the Chicago Skyline in the back and it truly was breathtaking. Next, we went and popped a bottle of champagne and headed to their venue. Danielle and Sean got married at Morgan’s on Fulton and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Danielle and Sean opted to do their ceremony all over again, which as a photographer I absolutely love. The ceremony gives me so many opportunities to capture candid photos of the couple and family. I really am able to capture such raw, real and genuine moments. The tears, the laughs and smiles, everything!

Once the ceremony was complete, we headed upstairs. One of the best parts of Morgan’s on Fulton is the rooftop space upstairs. The rooftop that you see in some of these photos is retractable glass that’s brand new as of Danielle & Sean’s wedding day! So it was kind of cool for them to be able to get the full experience for the first time on their wedding day. The rooftop is a real stunner and I was seriously blown away by how amazing everything turned out to be. They were able to have something open and freeing while still being able to enjoy the decor and atmosphere of the venue. The lighting that came in was absolutely unreal and the views? Don’t get me started! I also love the location of Morgan’s on Fulton because there’s so many different photo locations to use. It really does give that classic Chicago rooftop feel which I know that my couples (and myself) truly enjoy!

Chicago Wedding Reception

Next was the reception where I witnessed the most beautiful first dance between Danielle & Sean. The sun was peeking in through the windows and was truly one of a kind. After their first dance it was time for family dances and speeches. Even the speeches were so amazing and touching. A lot of smiles & laughs came from listening to everyone come together to celebrate Danielle & Sean. Something that I love to focus on during the reception is not only the couple, but the reactions of friends & family. You’re really able to capture the atmosphere and the true connection of all of the wedding guests which I find is so important and beautiful. Fun fact, this was the first wedding since the beginning of the pandemic to actually have a dance floor! Everyone was able to have a fun time dancing all together and it was like a big breath of fresh air.

To end the night of course we had to grab some night shots. Peep that last photo because it seriously is one of my favorite photos that I have ever taken! The rooftop had beautiful string lights and made it look so magical and stunning. Trust me when I sat that sometimes jumping out towards the end of your wedding day to grab some night shots can be SO worth it.

Overall, Danielle & Sean’s wedding day was a MAJOR success. From the incredibly beautiful first look, to the amazing ceremony and reception at Morgan’s on Fulton. It truly was a fairytale brought to life and I am so honored to have been there to capture these memories. Congratulations D+S!!!!
