When Najee and Daniel first inquired with me I couldn’t have been more excited. They both wanted to do something light hearted and fun for their city engagement photos. They also really wanted to do something that incorporated a lot of greenery so we figured out the perfect engagement session location. Summer City Engagement Photos

To start of their day, we made our way over to Buckingham Fountain which is located inside Grant Park. This area is ginormous, so we didn’t get to explore the entire location. The park has so many different gardens and locations to take your engagement photos. It’s seemingly impossible to decide which place to stop. While we didn’t get to go throughout the entire park, we did get to enjoy the gorgeous Buckingham Fountain in all of it’s glory. Fun fact: Buckingham Fountain is actually where Daniel proposed to Najee. I absolutely love when my couples want to go back to locations that mean something to their love story. It makes the session that much more fun and special and I am here for it!!!

Buckingham Fountain is actually such an amazing location and I don’t think it’s gets talked about enough! Soooo if you’re ever wondering where you need to take your engagement photos… hit me up! The fountain area is so open and has a lot of space to walk around. Buckingham Fountain is also right next to some flower gardens which is where we headed to next. The flower gardens were in full bloom and it truly looked like a scene out of a movie. Oh and can we talk about the show that the sun put on for this day? The weather was absolutely gorgeous and we were able to get some amazing golden shots with the sun radiating down on Najee and Daniel.

Engagement Session at North Ave Beach

After finishing up at the flower gardens, we headed to North Ave Beach – one of my favorite locations. You may notice that I shoot a ton of sessions here and that’s because you can never go wrong! You can have those gorgeous water views while still have the views of the city skyline behind us. It merges the best of both worlds and that’s why it’s one of my favorite city engagement locations to shoot at. Najee and Daniel were legit models in front of the camera and moved so fluently.

One of the best things about creating relationships with all of my couples is making sure that they feel 100% comfortable with me. Getting professional photos taken can be scary, so I make sure to lighten up the mood and make sure that you are moving within your own comfort zone. I am your personal hype woman, photographer and friend. Who’s ready?
