First of all, we moved the time of Lauren and Andrew’s shoot earlier to try to catch the snow! And while it didn’t last long, we did capture a few snowflakes at our first location- Kinzie Bridge! (PS— don’t you just love Lauren’s bright pink pants? Such a good outfit choice) They chose the Kinzie Bridge because it is right in their neighborhood, you can literally see their place from the bridge, and they see the bridge from their window every day. We did bridge skyline shots and then moved to the side and took some grungy shots against a garage door. We had a glass of champagne—in the snow!! Then we went into the Art Institute of Chicago and they made an outfit change into something more formal.

I always love shooting locations that hold special meaning to a couple, and for these two, museums are their thing! They love to travel and to visit different museums everywhere they go. Andrew even gave me tips on places to visit in Barcelona, where he used to live. We strolled the museum, looked at art, and enjoyed the warmth.

Finally we ended the shoot with Millennium Park Chicago skyline shots after the Art Institute of Chicago Engagement Shoot!
