Chicago Lakefront Engagement Session. When Bri and Brennan got in touch with me to shoot their wedding, I was super stoked! After speaking with Bri on the phone I knew we would be a perfect fit for each other. After a bit of planning, the day finally came for their Chicago lakefront engagement session!

South Pond at Lincoln Park

We first started off at the South Pond at Lincoln Park. I was super excited to meet them and they also brought along their four legged pal, George. He’s the cutest, biggest, and friendliest giant ever. I also love when my couples are able to bring their pups to their engagement sessions! It was such a fun time to have him tag along and was the perfect model. Bri and Brennan did bring their friend Sam along to help with George during their session. I always recommend that if you’re bringing your pet to your engagement session, to make sure to have someone watch over them while we take some solo photos of just you two!

On this day, we got some amazing weather and gorgeous sun so we were really able to play around with all of the greenery and nature. I absolutely love the photos with these two in the tall grass with wildflowers, it was just so beautiful. In my opinion, September is the best time to get engagement photos done in Chicago. This is because you can get peak wildflowers outside and you’re able to do your engagement session later in the evening which can be nice.

Chicago Lakefront Engagement Session

After, we walked down to the Fullerton Lakefront. You get the beautiful water views and the Chicago city skyline and easily is one of my favorite views. I love being able to take photos here and want more people to take advantage of such a stunning location. It is away from the city and is not as busy as other locations. You’re also able to get a view of the full city skyline, which you can’t really get anywhere else. Can we also just take a second to appreciate Bri’s outfit too? I think it is the PERFECT outfit for engagement photos and was just comfortable and so very cute. We ended their engagement with this epic shot of them at sunset and I say… the perfect ending to a gorgeous engagement session.

I seriously had such a blast with Bri and Brennan and can’t wait to celebrate their wedding in 2022! Congrats B+B!!!
