Destination Wedding Photographer – Adventure Session. Earlier this month you saw Hailee and Alex’s wedding in my blog, and now here is their adventure session! This one truly made me have all the destination-wedding-photographer-feels!! I have shot in the mountains a few times, but this was the first time I had a couple get up the day after their wedding to run around the mountain in their wedding clothes with me. It was honestly PERFECT!!  

Colorado Adventure Session

We scouted a location that wasn’t really a hike but still had amazing mountain views from every angle. It was so quiet and peaceful throughout the whole session; we saw only one other hiker walking with his dog. Other than that, we had the whole place to ourselves to run around and photograph their amazing adventure session. Let’s just talk about how Colorado mountain locations never disappoint.  Even when we were there in 2020 and it was smokey everywhere, we still got some mountain top views, with just a little extra haze. 

OK, but I guess it is time to talk a bit about adventure sessions.  Adventure sessions are awesome if you want to spend your wedding day with your people and not step away for a couples’ session of the two of you!  Get up the day after your wedding and grab your hiking boots for a hike through the mountains, OR come to Chicago and run around the city, wedding dress and all!!  This could be a “destroy the dress” session or just another excuse to get your wedding clothes back on with an epic location of your choice. Extra bonus is that we can plan it for the best light!!   

Let me just sum it up by saying—Hailee and Alex are so cute and so nice and I love them forever.  I will always remember this Colorado mountain adventure session!!
