Door County, Wisconsin Engagement Session

Door County, Wisconsin is actually a peninsula in Lake Michigan. It is a popular Midwest vacation spot, know for its gorgeous views, rocky coasts and charming little towns. 

Allie and Matt have spent a lot of time there! Matt’s family has a cabin there and it’s where he proposed! So doing their engagement session there seemed like the perfect choice. I am a huge advocate for doing sessions in a place that holds special meaning to you as a couple, it just makes your images that much more precious. And what a beautiful place! 

We went back to the exact spot where Matt had popped the question, with the beautiful long view over Lake Michigan and all of Door County. I love the silhouette shot of them holding hands at their engagement spot!

We ended at Hidden Beach, with it’s beautiful rocky shoreline, but when we got there, Matt and Allie were amazed! Since the lake was higher than it had been in years, there was very little beach, compared to usual years! No worries, we still took full advantage of the beach there was and played and cuddled and grabbed portraits and even popped some champagne! We hung around for the gorgeous sunset and these beautiful sunset shots.
