Downtown Chicago Engagement Session
Okay, first off let me just tell you guys, I am SO late on these blog posts (I only started this blog a year ago, okay?!!) But here I am in April, going through this session from October. OMG, do I miss shooting (we are in Corona Virus times right now..)!! But without having you wait any longer… Here is a downtown Chicago engagement session!
As I was going back through this session to pick out favorites for this blog post and I seriously was reminded of just how much fun I had with Connie and Bo. Honestly, I remember talking to my boyfriend right after the shoot and being SO excited for their 2020 wedding!! So huge thanks to Connie and Bo for being straight-up awesome and good humans!
Now back to the actual shoot! We started downtown by the Wrigley building, did some pretty cityscapes (one of my favorite Chicago photo locations!), shot with the gorgeous golden doors, and then made our way through the buildings toward the riverwalk.
I always ask couples if they want to stop at a location that holds some special meaning to them, and for Connie and Bo, the Chicago Riverwalk was that spot!! They were training for the Chicago Marathon and ran through the Riverwalk all the time. I had to laugh during the shoot when Connie turned to Bo and said “We are one of those people now!” The ones who take pics and crowd the Riverwalk for runners, LOL!!
Lincoln Park is a super popular spot for both weddings and sessions. I am sure these photos show you why. From the amazing tangle of wildflowers and weeds, to the cool, iconic honeycomb structure with its perfect views of the city, the photo ops simply can’t be beat!
Thanks again to Connie and Bo for such a fun way to spend a fall evening! I am SO looking forward to celebrating and photographing your wedding!!
