Morton Arboretum Summer Wedding – Chicago Wedding Photographer

Morton Arboretum Summer Wedding – Chicago Wedding Photographer. To start off Beatriz & Justin’s wedding day, of course I had to capture some moments just before the ceremony. As soon as I arrived, Beatriz was putting on her dress and lipstick. These small intimate moments are sometimes overlooked, but really can make a difference looking back at your photos in the future.

Morton Arboretum Summer Wedding

Next, it was time for the ceremony. Beatriz and Justin chose to have their ceremony at Morton Arboretum in the Fragrance Garden. Filled with such fragrant summer flowers, a small fountain and beautiful foliage, this garden is filled with peace and serenity. Morton Arboretum not only has the Fragrance Garden to get married, but actually has a few different spots within their grounds to have a ceremony & reception. Morton Arboretum is really the best place to get married if you’re looking to be surrounded by nature but also have great indoor options as backup. Seriously an absolutely perfect place to get married!

Their wedding was small and intimate and surrounded by their immediate family. Since it was intimate ceremony, they even made sure to take a shot out of a flask with their officiant. Don’t worry though, he was family too! Throughout the ceremony you could just feel the emotions in the air and we even had these two cry a bit too! Although it sounds a bit morbid, us photographers love to see our couples show a bit of emotion. They even incorporated hand tying in their ceremony, a Celtic ritual which symbolized the binding of two lives. I absolutely LOVE when couples include traditions like these to make their wedding day special & unique!

After saying their “I do’s”, Beatriz & Justin snuck away to be alone with each other for a bit. After, they made their way back to the garden where everyone threw flower confetti while celebrating the newlyweds. Using flowers as confetti is the perfect option for anyone looking for more environmentally friendly options for regular confetti!

Wedding Portraits

After their ceremony, we of course had to run around Morton Arboretum and get some epic wedding portraits. Beatriz and Justin had a June wedding, so the greenery was absolutely out of this world. We wanted to embrace all of the beautiful foliage and plants and that’s EXACTLY what we did. Throughout taking their wedding portraits, I couldn’t help but get some Games of Thrones vibes (anyone else? LOL). Justin even brought his axe as a prop, which I LOVE so of course we had to get some photos with that. We then made our way to my favorite spot at Morton Arboretum where they have these incredibly beautiful pine trees. When I tell you these pine trees bring you to a completely different place, I’m not lying!

After that, we made our way over to Two Hound Red Brewing Co. where they met back up with their family! Of course we had to make sure to capture those special and intimate first dances. We also made sure to go to the front of the brewery and get some solo shots of them too.

Overall this day was absolute magic. Beatriz & Justin looked absolutely amazing and I was so honored to have been their to share such special and intimate moments between them. Congratulations B + J!!!!
