Ravenswood Event Center Wedding- Chicago Wedding Photographer

Ravenswood Event Center – Chicago Wedding Photographer. Much like a lot of people during the peak of the pandemic, a lot of weddings had to get rescheduled to later dates. Brooke & Riley had rescheduled their wedding date 4 times! Finally they were able to have their wedding 1 year after their original wedding date. Although Brooke & Riley weren’t able to get married as soon as they wanted, it still ended up being perfect. It was during the season they wanted with the the right lighting & overall it worked out in the end.

Getting Ready Photos

It was a full 9 hour wedding day and I started off with Brooke during her getting ready process. While I was with Brooke my second photographer, Jake, was with the gentleman while they were getting ready. I love starting off with some detail shots of everything laid out beautifully. I also had to make sure to get some amazing shots of the ladies getting ready as well! The space where we took photos was absolutely amazing. Shoutout to Brooke’s friend Kelsey who provided us with an incredibly gorgeous getting ready location! While hotels can be beautiful, so can apartments ESPECIALLY if they have some incredible lighting. After Brooke got ready, she did a first look with her bridesmaids and their reactions were priceless. Jake over with the guys took some photos of them getting dressed and cheersing drinks & next it was time for the bride & groom’s first look.

Their first look was over at this incredibly beautiful spot right by the apartment where Brooke was getting ready in and it was just perfect! It’s a tiny little dog park but the location was so stunning that I want to bring more couples to shoot their wedding portraits there! It’s a little bit off the beaten path but the areas around it are gorgeous. After the first look at the park we walked a few blocks over to this cool Chicago street that almost gave me New York vibes. We then walked down the street and just did some cool photos at different spots around, really anything that grabbed our attention.

Kinzie Bridge

Next, we all jumped on the party bus and headed over to Kinzie Bridge. Kinzie Bridge is a favorite place to shoot wedding portraits for me and clearly you can see why. The architecture of the bridge is beautiful, the lighting is stunning and you can get some amazing shots not only with your wedding party but with you and your partner as well! The Kinzie Bridge is seriously a must-have spot and just screams Chicago!

Ravenswood Event Center

After Kinzie Bridge, we headed over to the Wrigley Building where we did a few more wedding portraits. Lastly, it’s ceremony time where Brooke & Riley finally got married… just 1 year later hahaha! We had their ceremony over at Ravenswoods Event Center here in Chicago. in The ceremony was gorgeous and I absolutely loved the floral arch that was behind them. Also, btw these were fake flowers but they looked so gorgeous and real I couldn’t even tell they were fake. There ceremony was amazing and the whole time there were so many laughs and everyone was just so happy to be there. Can you believe the lighting in this place though? The lighting and the layout of this entire venue was absolutely breathtaking!

After the ceremony, I headed downstairs to capture more ceremony detail shots while Jake headed over to cover cocktail hour. This is another reason why it’s so great to have a second photographer on your special because we can literally have two people cover your wedding at once. Next was reception, where we got to hear all of the touching speeches and have a few dances.

At the end of the day it was an absolutely amazing day and a beautiful wedding. I’m so happy and honored to have been able to capture such amazing memories for Brooke & Riley. Congratulations!!!
