Cantigny Park Engagement Session
Cantigny Park Engagement Session. Natalie and Cameron live in the suburbs and they really wanted do something beautiful in a garden for their engagement session. Once they said that I knew EXACTLY where to bring them and that was Cantigny Park.
I have shot at Cantigny Park so many times for weddings but I have never been able to walk the park with one of my couples and truly explore the entire park. On top of that, we were able to shoot at sunset which also made this session all the more perfect. Cantigny Park had the beautiful fall foliage and stunning flowers all throughout so it made the experience of being there THAT more amazing! If you’re looking for the perfect spot for either engagement photos or wedding photos, I would HIGHLY recommend Cantigny to any couple.
Cantigny Park has beautiful manicured gardens, greenery and floral arches that fill up all throughout the entire park. It was breathtaking!!! In the spring and summer, the rose gardens bloom while in the fall the changing of the leaves is unreal! I absolutely love being able to bring my couples from the manicured gardens to more foresty areas. That way they are able to get two different vibes.
I think my favorite place on the grounds would have to be this small little pond area. You can see the sun’s reflection right next to this little house, it was so beautiful. These are some of my favorite spots because of the insanely beautiful lighting and I also love the vibes. It seriously reminds me of Bridgerton, anyone else???
We walked all over the space, caught some amazing golden hour moments and truly made the most of the beautiful scenery. Fun fact: Natalie actually bought her engagement dress on Amazon. She received it within 2 days from the session and I mean who could tell, right??? If you’ve been thinking of places to have your wedding ceremony, Cantigny Park is an amazing option!
Keep in mind that while shooting at Cantigny Park, they do require a photo permit which is $35 for engagement sessions. This permit fee also covers any entrance fees into the park. Compared to other permits, this is affordable and is a fairly quick process to pay and then start shooting.
Overall, Natalie and Cameron’s engagement session at Cantigny Park was such a blast. I had such an amazing time being able to work with them! I am also so excited to be able to shoot their wedding this September at the Seven Bridges Golf Club!
