Los Angeles Loft Wedding

While many photographers are booked with weddings, engagement sessions and more oftentimes our creative visions may end up on the back burner. Don’t get me wrong, I absolutely LOVE photographing weddings… I mean it’s my passion. Sometimes however, especially during a slower season, setting up styled shoots is just the kick we need in order to refresh those creative juices. Not just photographers though, any wedding vendor in general can participate! For this styled shoot, we really wanted something unique and fun and we knew exactly where to do it. Keep reading to see some epic photos from this Los Angeles Loft Wedding.

The Arbory

Amanda and Michael were so kind to be our models for this shoot and trust me… they were naturals in front of the camera. Amanda & Michael are already married so they natural chemistry really radiated throughout the entire day which was perfect. I was most excited for this styled shoot because of our venue, The Arbory! The Arbory was the perfect venue to mix lush greenery with industrial Chicago vibes. During the time of this styled shoot, The Arbory was putting the final touches on the venue space. Talk about perfect timing, right? This venue includes 8,000 sq. ft of space so is an amazing Chicago wedding venue for around 200 guests. Also all of the furniture that you see is a part of the venue as well! It really makes the venue unique, cozy and a much more relaxed environment.

Los Angeles Loft Wedding

We started off the day with Amanda & Michael getting ready. Shoutout to Kiley and Valerie from Blowout Junkie for helping Amanda & Michael look absolutely ah-mazing. All of the items that Amanda was wearing along with her accessories were from Honey Bridal. They looked absolutely breathtaking on her. We also have to take a moment to appreciate Michael and his amazing colored suit. It brought so much life and really made him stand out compared to a typical tux. The whole point with these styled shoots is to try new things and be creative, so stepping outside of our typical styles can be a major goal.

After everyone had finished getting ready, we moved to the ceremony space for some portraits. Now like I said before, the ceremony space was huge and decorated so beautifully. We had some amazing florals from Petals + Ink along with the stunning decor from The Arbory. Something that I have been loving doing lately is playing with different lighting & shadows. The gorgeous skylight in the space made for the perfect opportunity to play with all of the stunning natural light. We really got to experiment and just have fun, which is some of the main reasons we host these styled shoots in the first place!

Champagne Truck & Reception Details

Once we finished with portraits, we moved over to a different area of the venue space for some photos with the champagne truck. Yes, you read that right… champagne truck! Cindy from the Bellisimo Bar Company hooked us up with this amazing champagne truck that pretty much stole our hearts. Seriously, if you’re looking for something fun to add to your wedding day, maybe you should think about renting out this champagne truck *wink wink*.

Lastly, we wanted to be able to show off the beautiful cake and reception details we had planned for this portion of the shoot. We had this absolutely delicious cake made by 109th Street Sweets so of course we had to get some photos of Amanda & Michael cutting into their cake. The best part about cake cutting is the couple sharing the cake… imo of course! To finish off this amazing day, we took some more photos of Amanda & Michael with some of the absolutely amazing and beautiful reception details. Thanks to Big Delicious Planet for the amazing & scrumptious desserts and Designed by Kate for having some of the most beautiful invitations/stationary that I have ever seen.

This styled shoot was everything I could have ever wanted and more! Everything came together so perfectly and I seriously couldn’t have done it without all of the amazing vendors who came together. Cheers to Amanda & Michael for being amazing models, and to our styled shoot that turned out to be one of my favorites to this date!
