Royal Sonesta Chicago Wedding

Royal Sonesta Chicago Wedding. Anna + Mike decided to get married at the Royal Sonesta Chicago River North Hotel. Their entire wedding was held at this hotel and it’s always a blast to do everything all in one place. You’re really able to get creative and play around with the space and see what you can create!

Getting Ready & First Look

So to switch things up, for this blog, I actually started with Mike getting ready! Mike is such a fun and goofy guy, as you’ll see through some of the photos. They were so fun and I just had to include some of them here. Then we went over to Anna and she had such fabulous details. She even had some flowers brought for some detail shots, which I absolutely LOVE to include. Can we also do a shoutout to this hotel room and the insanely beautiful natural lighting it had? This hotel has a gorgeous rooftop which was perfect for us to utilize for Anna + Mike’s first look AND their family portraits. It really gave off some amazing Chicago city vibes, which I love!

Wrigley Building & Board of Trade Wedding Portraits

From there, we headed towards downtown Chicago to the Wrigley Building to do some pictures with their wedding party and the two of them. They all looked so stunning and huge shoutout to Anna for her insanely gorgeous wedding dress from Honey Bridal designed by Alyssa Kristin. She looked so beautiful and it seriously fit her like a glove. After some pictures at the Wrigley Building, we then last minute decided to make our way to the Board of Trade. You can’t tell through the photos, but the Wrigley Building was crazy busy so Board of Trade it is!

Royal Sonesta Chicago Wedding & Reception

A few photos later, we then headed over to their ceremony space to get these two married. After they exchanged vows, rings and kissed, Anna and Mike were officially newlyweds – hooray!! We then were able to get a few more family photos before it was time to go to the reception. I love being able to sneak my couples into the reception space early for a few photos with just them, before it fills up with people. Also, let’s take a moment to appreciate the beautiful chandelier that was hanging in the reception space. It was so elegant and really gave off some Great Gatsby type vibes. There were some amazing speeches throughout the reception as well, and honestly the reactions are some of my favorite moments to capture. To end the night we of course had the open dance floor where everyone took to the floor to dance the night away. One of my “signature” shots that I love to capture with my couples are NIGHT SHOTS! So naturally, I snuck Anna and Mike away to the balcony of the hotel to get some insanely beautiful night portraits.

It was a perfect day with such a perfect couple and I am honored to have been there to capture this special moment for them. Congrats A+M – cheers!!
