Traditional Jewish Intimate Wedding in Chicago
Traditional Jewish Wedding in Chicago. Dinah first got in contact with me about doing her wedding late last year. She wanted to have a traditional jewish ceremony with her husband to be, Larry. What’s unique about this wedding, is that they chose to get married on a Tuesday. It’s usually very rare for a wedding to happen during the week, but there is a reason! Dinah and Larry got married on a Tuesday because it is the BEST day to get married in the Jewish religion. Tuesday’s are meant to bring happiness and prosperity which is why many in the Jewish religion choose to get married on Tuesday’s. Once learning about all of their wedding plans, I was eager to get started!
Dinah and Larry met and dated during the pandemic and since then, the two have become inseparable. After essentially dating through a car door, they decided to make it official and tie the knot! We first started off their special day with an intimate first look which was so cute. Dinah was just radiating with pure happiness and was laughing and smiling the entire day! They were such a blast to take pictures for. We then took a few more photos in the backyard of Larry’s home before heading to the Synagogue for their ceremony. It was there that Larry and Dinah did the ketubah signing, which is a common Jewish tradition, underneath the chuppah. The ceremony was so much fun and everyone was having a great time laughing and celebrating Dinah & Larry.
After the ceremony, we made our way over to their reception. Dinah & Larry had a very intimate wedding so they were surrounded by their closest friends/family and had the most amazing time. Can we just talk about those cake cutting photos as well? SO CUTE! I had such an amazing time being there for Dinah and Larry and being able to capture these special moments for them. Congratulations D+L!
